Threads marketing for business: a practical playbook

How brands and agencies use Threads: content that fits the platform, replies in the niche, many accounts with their own proxies, schedules and reports.

In short: Threads is a text-first network where conversations happen right under the post. For business that means three things: post short, useful texts regularly, take part in the discussions of your niche, and give the posts that work a push. One brand account can be run by hand; agencies and teams that run many accounts use an app such as Thredium for posting, warmup, AI replies, profile design and schedules — every account with its own browser and proxy.

Why Threads for business

  • Text comes first. A post can be text only, up to 500 characters, so a useful thought does not need a photo shoot.
  • Replies are visible. Answers show right under the post, so a good reply under a popular post in your niche brings people to your profile.
  • It is linked to Instagram. A brand that already has an Instagram account usually signs in to Threads with it.

If you are choosing between the two, see Threads or Instagram for auto-posting?

What to post

FormatExample for a coffee shop in Odesa
a tiphow to keep coffee beans fresh at home
an opinionwhy a flat white beats a latte in the morning
a question"Which pastry do you take with your coffee?"
a short storyhow the first espresso machine of the shop arrived
an offer under a spoilera promo code hidden in the post

Hidden text and media spoilers are part of a Threads post; in Thredium you hide a fragment with "Hide selected text" — see Auto-posting to Threads.

Take part in conversations

Marketing on Threads is as much about replies as about posts. Answer the people who comment on you, and reply under the posts of bigger accounts and topics in your niche — to the point, not with an ad. AI commenting does this for many accounts: it reads the post and replies in its language, by interest topics or under the exact profiles you list. Start at 20–30 % of posts for new accounts. Running many accounts: agencies and teams

Agencies, networks of local pages and teams that test several personas need many accounts. What keeps them manageable:

  1. A proxy per account — one or two accounts per proxy, so accounts do not share one IP. Proxies for Threads accounts.
  2. Warmup before activity — new and bought accounts start with likes only. How to warm up a Threads account.
  3. Different texts and photos — variants in braces and media shared out per account. Threads auto-posting.
  4. Schedules — posts, warmup and replies start at set times. Threads scheduler.
  5. Profile design in bulk — names, bios, photos and links on several accounts at once. Setting up Threads profiles.
  6. Folders — group accounts by client or project. Threads accounts.

Give the right posts a push

A post that works can get extra likes, followers, reposts, comments or views from the marketplace; start with a small order and prefer services with a refill guarantee. Buy Threads followers and likes.

Measure what works

Task logs show what every account did — published posts, likes, follows, comments — and open the published post or comment, so you can check it. Reports export as TXT, CSV or Excel, and Telegram notifications report errors and bans as they happen. Review them every week: keep the topics and formats that bring replies and followers, and drop the rest. See Task logs and reports.

Keep it within the rules

Spam, fraud, deception, harassment and impersonation are forbidden by Thredium's Acceptable Use Policy. A reply should answer the post. No tool can promise that accounts will never be restricted — Threads makes those decisions; gradual, varied activity lowers the risk.

Frequently asked questions

Is Threads good for B2B?

Threads favours short texts and conversations, which suits expertise and opinions well. Whether your buyers are there is best checked with a few weeks of regular posts and replies.

How often should a brand post on Threads?

Regularly, at a pace you can keep. Plan the week with schedules and look at the results in Task logs before posting more.

Can one person run accounts for several clients?

Yes. Group the accounts in folders, give each its own proxy and run tasks per folder.
