In short: the Schedule block in Thredium starts a task at the time you choose — once on a set day or regularly on weekdays. It works for posting, warmup and AI commenting. A scheduled run uses the text, settings and accounts the page had when you created it, and every account publishes from its own browser with its own proxy. The schedule follows your computer's clock: at that time the computer must be on and Thredium open.
What a Threads scheduler does in Thredium
A scheduler saves you from pressing the start button at the right moment. You prepare a post once — text, text variants, photos, accounts — and the app starts the task when it is due. With many accounts this matters more than with one: you plan a whole batch of posts for the week and see in the morning what each account did.
The Schedule block sits on three pages:
| Page | What a scheduled run does |
|---|---|
| Posting | publishes the post from the chosen accounts |
| Warmup | runs a warmup session on the chosen accounts |
| AI commenting | runs a commenting session on the chosen accounts |
How to schedule a post
- Prepare the page. On the Posting page write the post text, add photos or videos if you like and choose the accounts. The "Schedule" button becomes active only when the task could start right now; if something is missing, the block says what in yellow.
- Add text variants. Put variants in braces, such as
{Good morning|Hi}: every account gets its own random version. A post holds up to 500 characters, and the longest variant is the one that counts. - Choose how media is shared out. "All in every post", "One per account" or "Several per account" — different accounts can publish different photos.
- Press "Schedule". Keep "Once" and choose the date and time. Under the fields you see "Next run: …". A time that has already passed cannot be saved.
- Press "Save". The run appears in the schedule table.
Changes on the page after you save do not touch the schedule. To post another text or from other accounts, create another schedule. More about the post itself — Threads auto-posting from dozens of accounts.
Once or on weekdays
- Once — a single run on a date and time. It suits posting: one schedule per post.
- On weekdays — the ticked days at the same time. With all seven days ticked, the table says "Every day". It suits warmup, for example weekday mornings.
The schedule table
All the page's schedules are listed in the Schedule block:
- When — days and time, and below them the next run;
- What — for posting, the beginning of the post text and how many accounts take part;
- Status — "Active", "Paused", "Done" (a single run has passed) or "Missed".
Each row has three buttons: New time changes the time without touching the task settings, Pause / resume turns the schedule off and back on without deleting it, and Delete removes it after a confirmation.
What happens at the scheduled time
The app shows "Started on schedule", and the task appears in the "Task progress" block as if you had started it by hand: "Completed", "Errors", "In progress", "Queued", "Partial" and "Actions done". The detailed course and the final report for every account are in Task logs. If you connect Telegram notifications, the important events reach your phone too.
Missed runs
A run that could not start in time counts as missed and is not made up later. Up to 10 minutes late is fine — for example, when the app has just opened. A run is missed when:
- the computer was off or asleep, or Thredium was closed;
- the previous run of the same schedule was still going;
- the browser setup was not finished;
- the task could not start;
- its accounts stayed busy in another task for 2 hours.
You get "A scheduled run was missed" in Notifications with a "Set a new time" button. A weekday schedule goes on from the next ticked day.
Turn on "Keep the computer awake while tasks run" in Settings → General. A closed laptop lid still puts the computer to sleep, so do not plan night runs on a laptop that sleeps at night.
A manual start just before a scheduled run
If you start a task by hand while a scheduled task for the same accounts is due within 15 minutes, the app warns you. "Start later" starts nothing. "Start anyway" offers to move that one scheduled run 15 minutes later; the schedule itself keeps its time. If the accounts are still busy then, the run waits for them up to 2 hours.
When to post on Threads
There is no single best time that suits every account: it depends on where your readers live and when they scroll. A schedule makes it easy to find yours:
- Think in your readers' time zone. Schedules follow your computer's clock, so if your audience lives in another time zone, convert the hour before you save.
- Test a few slots. Schedule similar posts at different times — for example morning, lunch and evening — on different days.
- Compare the results. Task logs open every published post, so you can see which slot got more replies and reactions.
- Keep the winners. Move regular posts to the slots that work and test a new one from time to time.
Planning a week of posting
| Task | Schedule | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Warmup of new accounts | on weekdays, mornings | short regular sessions are better than one long one |
| Posts | once, one schedule per post | every post has its own text and media |
| AI commenting | on weekdays, a different hour | an account runs one task at a time |
Do not put two tasks for the same accounts at the same time: one of them will wait. Warm up fresh accounts before their first scheduled post — see How to warm up a Threads account.
Frequently asked questions
Does the scheduler work when Thredium is closed?
No. Thredium is a desktop app, and schedules follow your computer's clock. At the scheduled time the computer must be on and the app open; otherwise the run is missed and you get a notice.
Can every account publish a different text on schedule?
Yes. Variants in braces give every account its own version of the post, and "One per account" or "Several per account" gives them different photos.
Can I schedule warmup and AI commenting too?
Yes. The same Schedule block is on the Warmup and AI commenting pages. AI commenting is in the Pro plan.
How do I change a scheduled post?
The time — with "New time". The text, media or accounts — delete the schedule and create a new one from the updated page.
How many accounts can post on one schedule?
As many as your plan allows: up to 30 accounts in Starter, up to 60 in Scale and unlimited in Pro — see pricing.
