In short: a Threads bot is a program that does actions on Threads for you: publishes posts, likes, follows, comments or changes profiles. Thredium is such a program for many accounts — a desktop app for Mac and Windows with five modules: posting, warmup, AI commenting, profile design and schedules. Every account works in its own browser profile with its own proxy, an action counts only when its result is seen on the page, and the app warns you when activity looks too much like a bot.
What people mean by a "Threads bot"
The word covers several different tools:
| You want | What it is | In Thredium |
|---|---|---|
| a posting bot | publishes posts from one or many accounts, now or on schedule | Posting + Schedule |
| a like and follow bot | scrolls the feed, likes posts, follows authors | Warmup |
| a comment bot | leaves comments under other people's posts | Warmup (your templates) or AI commenting (an AI model writes them) |
| a profile bot | changes name, username, bio, photo, links | Profile design |
| a multi-account manager | runs dozens of accounts from one computer | all of the above, with accounts and proxies |
Thredium does not register new Threads accounts. Ready accounts, and likes or followers from providers, are sold in the separate marketplace.
How Thredium works under the hood
- A browser per account. Each account opens Threads in its own browser profile with its own cookies and its own proxy, so accounts do not share one IP and one set of cookies. Proxies: Proxies for Threads accounts.
- Confirmed actions. A like, follow or comment counts only when the app sees its result on the page. "Actions done" in a report are confirmed actions, not attempts to press a button.
- Varied timing. The session length of every account is picked at random inside the range you set, so accounts do not finish at the same moment.
- One task per account at a time. An account busy in one task is skipped by another with "Account is busy in another task".
- Your data stays on your computer. Accounts, cookies and browser profiles are not uploaded to the Thredium server.
What each module does
Posting
Publishes a post from several accounts at once. Text variants such as {Good morning|Hi} give every account its own version, and photos or videos can be shared out so that accounts publish different files. Up to 500 characters, up to 10 files per post. Guide: Threads auto-posting.
Warmup — the like and follow part
The account scrolls the feed and likes posts with the share you set. Follows and comments from your variants can be turned on later. The app marks shares it considers safe:
| Action | Safe | Yellow warning | Red |
|---|---|---|---|
| Likes | up to 30 % | above 30 % | above 75 % |
| Follows | up to 10 % | above 10 % | above 25 % |
| Comments from templates | up to 5 % | above 5 % | above 15 % |

AI commenting — the comment bot that reads the post
An AI model you choose (OpenAI, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok or OpenRouter, with your own API key) reads the post and answers to the point, in the language of the post. You set the session length and the share of posts that get a comment; above 70 % the app warns that it looks unnatural. It is in the Pro plan. Details: AI commenting on Threads.
Profile design and schedules
Profile design changes name, username, interests, visibility, bio, photo and links on several accounts at once. Schedules start posting, warmup and AI commenting once or on weekdays — see the Threads scheduler.
How to keep accounts safe
- Give every account its own proxy — one or two accounts per proxy. Residential and mobile proxies suit Threads better than server ones.
- Warm up new and bought accounts first — start with likes only, then add follows and comments one at a time.
- Stay in the safe ranges the app marks; check the first run before raising shares or session length.
- Make posts different — two or three text variants and different photos for different accounts.
- Run only Active accounts. Accounts with "Needs verification" or "Auth error" need a new sign-in first.
- Watch the results in Task logs and turn on Telegram notices for critical errors and account bans.
No tool can promise that accounts will never be restricted: Threads makes those decisions, and any automation carries that risk. Thredium keeps the activity gradual and different from account to account, which lowers the risk but does not remove it.
What Thredium is not for
Spam, fraud, deception, harassment and impersonation are forbidden by Thredium's Acceptable Use Policy. A comment should answer the post, not advertise in every reply.

Frequently asked questions
Is Thredium a Telegram bot?
No. Thredium is a desktop app for macOS and Windows. It has a Telegram bot only for notifications: task results, errors and bans — see Telegram notifications.
Can a Threads bot get my account banned?
It can, like any automation. The risk grows with sharp jumps in activity, many accounts on one IP and identical texts. Warmup, separate proxies, text variants and moderate shares lower it.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Everything is set in the app: accounts, proxies, texts, shares and schedules. There are no scripts to write.
How many accounts can one computer run?
Up to your plan's limit; how many browsers run at once depends on the plan and, in Pro, on the computer's memory.
